Hazem A. Elariny, MD, PhD, FACS |

Dr. Elariny is the first
surgeon to perform Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass for morbid obesity in the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan, Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland Areas. Dr. Elariny has an excellent success rate in terms of patient outcome and satisfaction.
Procedures are done
laparoscopically, with the fewest incisions safely possible.

University. She has 10 years
experience in nutrition and
management. She currently
provides full time dietary
consultative services at
USWLS. You can meet with her
at support group meetings
and during your nutrition
counseling sessions. |

Sharin
is the front desk receptionist. Currently in college, Sharin plans to finish her pre-med studies and continue on to medical school. She enjoys her work at ALAGSA
and USWLS and is always eager to work with
the teammates to help patients.

Waseem Garbia |
 |
Waseem is a Physician Assistant. He trained in Roanoke, Virginia at the College of Health Sciences. His concentration is in family medicine. After his graduation and certification in August 2003, Waseem
worked full time at ALAGSA
and in July 2005 he moved to
North Carolina to work on
his Master's Degree. His job
was to obtain a history and perform a physical on all patients. He
was involved with much of the follow up care and tries to keep patients healthy and informed. His primary goal is to support and encourage patients through their weight loss journey.

Jennifer Lowry, RD |

Jennifer
received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, and completed her internship at Indiana University/Purdue University. She has been a Registered Dietitian since 1997 and has been
working with ALAGSA and
USWLS since Mid 2001. She
worked full time at ALAGSA
and USWLS from September 2002 to
August 2005. You can meet with her
occasionally at some of our support group meetings.

Dr.
Ahmed Elariny |

Dr. Elariny, Sr. takes care of many of the practice's accounting and billing responsibilities.
He has a doctorate in engineering, so if you have questions about fluid dynamics or need help with relativity, he's happy to help. He has recently retired and is now assisting with the day-to-day business tasks involved in running ALAGSA.
